I was at Vobster yesterday, for some reason it was very quiet for a Saturday
Both of my original two buddies cried off (due to a misunderstanding I thought that one was going to be there). Fortunately there was a pair of divers who allowed my to jump in with them.
After kitting up we got in - and my feet felt fractionally warmer standing in the water! Unfortunately one of the divers had an unstoppable free-flow so he got out. The other diver and I went on for a look at the APC, Jacquini II, wheelhouse and crushing works before turning back, around the tail section of the aircraft and back to the slip. A quite short dive of about 45min.
A friend of mine turned up so I went in with him for the second dive. We had a bit of fun and games as during the surface interval all the gear had frozen solid, so we had to sit in the water at the slipway to unfreeze everything before starting. We started off at the APC again, Jacquini and wheelhouse and then went off to look at the caravan. Returning to the wheel house we saw the others and then we headed off to the crushing works, went round the base to have a nosy at the Jesters (found 3 of the 4). A leisurely bimble back gave a 60min runtime.
All in all a nice, if somewhat chilly, day.
