I'd certainly be up for a dive with the sea horses - you see I'm getting withdrawal symptoms already having just returned from the Philippines where on certain dives it was pretty much guaranteed you'd see sea horses, from the 'normal' size to the pygmy at just millimeters high. On the Ducomi pier we saw plenty on night and day dives - amazing :D
I'll definitely be recommending the Philippines for a future club holiday.

On the sea horse topic yes i do believe the sea horse is a relative of the pipefish and very magical creatures they are indeed. i have attached a pic of a pipehorse taken on our recent trip to the philippines. Fascinating little things.

I am up for the day, would like to film it, but think there may be some kind of licence issue for filming sea horses? unless you stumble on them by chance?

jimmy,
i saw a write up somewhere and they were saying that studland is home to many uk seahorses. might be a tricky dive site as i believe its very strong currents and shallow. i am sure someone in the club will have a view on how to go about staying safe and i would be up for it where ever it is.

regards Dave.
