Adjust Properly for Diving at Altitude

The purpose of the SDI Altitude Diver Course is to acquaint a diver with the necessary procedures and knowledge to dive safely at altitudes at least 300 metres/1000 feet above sea level.

When diving at altitude, the atmospheric pressure is less than when diving at sea level. This difference can be significant and will need adjusting for in your dive profile and planning. For example the lower atmospheric pressure will cause a change to your no-decompression limits. Want to know more, sign up for your altitude diver course.
